‘Prarambh’, the Startup India International Summit, being organized virtually by the department for the promotion of industry and internal trade (DPIIT), Union ministry of commerce and industry, is scheduled to take place on 15 and 16 January.
The event is eyeing at congregating policymakers, industrialists, academicians, investors, and startups from across the globe. The summit also intends to highlight Indian entrepreneurship based on innovation.
The first day of the summit will have guests and participants from BIMSTEC (Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation, having Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, and Thailand as members) states. Startup India was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 16, 2016.
The summit is expected to have over 200 speakers from across the globe and India. Technologies, innovation, policies will figure in discussions.
Startup India is aimed at nurturing innovation and startups in India that in turn can boost economic growth and lead to the creation of jobs.
