Chinese smartphone manufacturer Realme has allegedly created a Weibo account for the sole purpose of teasing the upcoming Realme Koi. Meanwhile, tipsters on social media have been posting information and leaking inside news on the upcoming phone.
There have been alleged live images leaked along with camera specs, chipset, and other details. Additionally, the phone also comes with a “Dare to Leap” inscription at the rear in big, boldface writing. The slogan was spotted on a teaser posted on the new Weibo account and it seems to have confirmed that the smartphone is likely to come with the new Snapdragon 888 chipset.
Live images leak online hinting at name and camera specs
Popular tipster Abhishek Yadav shared the live images of the device along with some details on his official Twitter account. The smartphone is expected to be called either Realme Koi or Realme V15. The device could have different monikers for different markets. The leaked images also suggested that it could house a triple-rear camera setup along with an LED flash. Moreover, the device could have a gradient finish similar to Realme Q2 and Realme X7 Pro.

Realme Koi rumored specifications and features
The tipster also suggested that Koi could feature the MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC and house a 64MP primary camera sensor. The smartphone is also expected to have support for 50W fast charging and weigh just 176 grams. Realme is likely to offer a side-mounted or in-display fingerprint sensor because the live images do not show the fingerprint module at the back.
The Chinese smartphone manufacturer hasn’t provided official details about the upcoming device except for teaser images on Weibo. The teaser also seemed to suggest that the device could be a part of Realme’s new series that is expected to include a flagship powered by the latest Snapdragon 888 SoC.
Leaks by Weibo user @Geek_Cao paint a slightly different picture. Geek_Cao claims that Koi is expected to support Realme’s 125W UltraDART fast charging that is capable of charging a 4,000mAh battery from 0 to 41% within 5 minutes and deliver full charge in approx. 20 minutes. Meanwhile, the V15 model is tipped to be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 800U 5G SoC, support 50W fast charging, and weigh 176g. Cao has since deleted the post.
Rumors also suggest that a January launch for Realme Koi looks to be on the card with the device costing around 5,000 Yuan (approx. Rs. 56,000).
