Sony’s Reon Pocket – Wearable AC – (Rs 9,100 approx)
Going out for work during summers can get worse if the temperature rises with each passing day. Sony gets a solution for this with Sony Reon Pocket – a portable air conditioner.
Reon Pocket is a smaller and lighter gadget that fits in an undershirt. The company claims that the gadget cools the body by about 13 degrees Celsius compared to the environment’s temperature.
Not only during summers, but the gadget is useful during winters as well. Reon Pocket can provide heat during winters by raising the temperature by about 8 degrees Celsius.
The wearable AC can be controlled by a smartphone app supporting both Android and iOS. The gets charged in about 2 hours for 90 minutes of use using a USB-C Type. Reon Pocket uses the Peltier effect – a temperature difference is created by applying a voltage between two electrodes connected to a sample of semiconductor material. As of now, the product is only available in Japan.
