Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 23rd Edition of the Bengaluru Tech Summit 2020, today, November 19th, 2020 through video conferencing at 11 am.

Along with the Karnataka government, Bengaluru Tech Summit is organized by Karnataka Innovation and Technology Society (KITS), Karnataka government’s Vision Group on Information Technology, Biotechnology and StartUp, Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) and MM Activ Sci-Tech Communications.

The event is scheduled for three days – November 19th, 2020 to November 21st, 2020, and the theme is set to be “NEXT IS NOW”. The summit will aim at focusing on the key challenges emerging in the post-pandemic world with a focus on the impact of prominent technologies and innovations in the domains of ‘Information Technology & Electronics’ and ‘Biotechnology’.

“Will be addressing the Bengaluru Tech Summit at 11 am tomorrow, November 19. Looking forward to interacting with the best minds from the world of technology, start-ups and innovation,” Prime Minister Modi tweeted a day before the event.

The key focus area for discussion would be aerospace and defence technologies, healthcare, future of work, startup for public good, electronics and semi-conductor, reimagining digital health and “Covid-19 Pandemic Preparedness”

This is the second time that the Prime Minister will be inaugurating the Tech Summit; 22 years back then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee inaugurated the event. “After Atal Bihari Vajpayee inaugurating the tech summit 22 years back, it is for the second time our Prime Minister is inaugurating the event”, says Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister C N Ashwath Narayan.

Participation of Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison, Guy Parmelin, Vice President of the Swiss Confederation, and many other prominent international figures, will be seen in the Tech Summit. Thought leaders, industry captains, technocrats, researchers, innovators, investors, policymakers and educators from India and the world, will also be seen participating in this summit.
