Micromax IN Note 1 sets the stage for Micromax as the smartphone manufacturers make its long-awaited comeback

Micromax is finally back in India after a break and it announced its return by launching two spectacular smartphones on November 3rd under the new IN 1 lineup – IN Note 1 and IN 1B. The smartphones are some of the best work from Micromax till now, especially in the budget range as they come with MediaTek chipsets, great display screens, and affordable prices.

Micromax expects the Micromax IN Note 1 to star in the mid-range smartphone market of India and they’re relying on the “Made for India” marketing slogan, hence the decision to go for the IN series. Know more about what Micromax IN Note 1 has to offer in the review.

Micromax IN Note 1 – Display

The Micromax IN Note 1 comes with a relatively big screen that doesn’t really seem that big while using. The 6.67-inch design is bigger than what you would expect from smartphones at this price range. IN Note 1 offers a full HD+ 1080x2400p resolution experience and 395 PPI and is protected by Oleophobic coating. The big screen will allow you to cherish movies, music videos, and browsing the internet on the phone.

Micromax IN Note 1 – Processor

The Micromax IN Note 1 comes powered by the octa-core MediaTek Helio G85, which is a powerful processor. Couple it with the Mali-G52 MC2 GPU and 4GB of RAM and you’ll have a monster that you can use seamlessly for hours without any issues. You can watch movies, play games, multitask with ease. The 128GB internal storage will offer you ample space to store files on the device.

Moreover, IN Note 1 runs on Android 10 out of the box and will come with the September security patch.

The camera specs of IN Note 1 are quite impressive as the rear side comes with a quad-camera setup housing a 48MP primary camera, a 5MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. With an impressive camera setup, you will always have a mini camera ready to click beautiful photos during special occasions or while traveling and capture memorable moments.

The front of the device has a single punch-hole that houses a 16MP front camera for clicking stunning selfies and video calling.

Micromax IN Note 1 – Battery and other features

The IN Note 1 comes with a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging via USB Type-C. The long-lasting battery only adds to the ease of use as you can enjoy using the phone for a long time without having to worry about charging the battery.

The other features of IN Note 1 include support for Bluetooth v5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, A-GPS, USB On-The-Go, BDS, and 3.5mm jack. The sensors in the phone include a gyroscope, accelerometer, compass, and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The device features the volume rocker and power button on the right while the left side contains the SIM tray and Google Assistant button. You’ll have two slots for Nano-SIM and a dedicated slot for microSD storage expansion.

Micromax IN Note 1 – Price

The IN Note 1 was launched on November 3rd in India and it comes in two exciting, easy-to-afford variants. The base variant having 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage is available at ₹10,999 while the other variant having 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage can be purchased for ₹12,499. In terms of color options, the device comes in two color choices – Green and White.
