Canon launches EOS M50 Mark II mirrorless camera with live streaming

Canon’s EOS M50 Mark II, priced at Rs 58,995, has been designed for vlogging.

Canon, which is among the top leaders in imaging technologies, launched an addition in the EOS M series on October 14, 2020, in India — Canon EOS M50 Mark II. The highlight of this camera is that you can use it for live streaming using Wi-Fi.

EOS M50 Mark II, a successor of M50, provides most of the necessary features that vloggers need. The camera features a touch-sensitive LCD, which is an improved LCD screen that gives a lag-free experience to users.

Vloggers can also enjoy an additional feature of Touch and Drag Auto Focus (AF). This acts as a smartphone camera setting, where you do not have to manually set the focus on the subject, instead just a tap on the screen does the job. Canon EOS M50 Mark II also has a DIGIC 8 image processor, 24.1-megapixel resolution and supports 4K recording.

For different shooting modes, EOS M50 Mark II comes with Servo AF, Movie Servo AF and enhanced Eye Detection AF. The mirrorless camera comes with the 384-zone metering sensor with Dual Pixel CMOS AF for faster focus detection.

The continuous shooting speed of the camera is up to 7.4fps with Servo AF and it also features high-resolution Electronic Viewfinder that will help in shooting at your eye-level and much brighter than composing the shots with the LCD screen.

The camera also gives Spot AF, Zone AF and 1 point AF so while live streaming you can focus in on the right subject and object and not on the peripheral boundary objects. In One-Shot AF mode, the camera can take 10 shots per second and in Servo AF mode 7.4 shots per seconds. The camera has the ISO range of 100 to 25,600, which can help you shoot in any light condition.

Canon EOS M50 Mark II supports Bluetooth Low Energy technology and Wi-Fi for connectivity.  The mirrorless camera, which will be available in black and white colours, will be on sale from December 2020 for Rs 58,995. The exact date the camera will go on sale is yet to be announced.
