Amazfit Bip U launches in India: Smartwatch has 50 watch faces, 60 sports modes

Here’s all you need to know about the wearable that goes on sale on October 16

Amazfit, which is the exclusive provider of wearable technology for Xiaomi, launched its Amazfit Bip U smartwatch in India on October 15, 2020.

While the smartwatch is priced at Rs 3,999, it will be available at a discounted price of  Rs 3,499 for the launch sale. It is available on Amazon and Amazfit India website from October 16.

Amazfit Bip U smartwatch comes with a Personal Activity Intelligence (PAI) indicator that indicates a user’s overall fitness. The smartwatch has two PPG bio-tracking optical sensors, which use a light-based technology to sense the rate of blood flow and help monitor the heart 24X7.

This smartwatch comes with stress monitoring sensors and to help in balancing the stress levels it offers breathing exercises. Amazfit Bip U comes with measuring SpO2 blood oxygen saturation levels that measure the amount of oxygen-carrying haemoglobin in the blood in comparison to the amount of haemoglobin not carrying oxygen.

It also has added feature for women to keep a track of their menstrual cycle and ovulation period along with reminders. It also monitors sleep patterns like a nap, deep sleep, REM sleep and light sleep.

When it comes to sports modes, it has 60 of them including running, dancing, kickboxing, cycling, skating, yoga and many more. The smartwatch keeps a track of daily activities with calories, steps, distance and active hours. It has a 1.43-inch HD 320×302 pixels, TFT colour touchscreen that is protected by 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3 to help it survive cuts, scratches and pressure.

The smartwatch comes with anti-fingerprint coating, a polycarbonate casing and silicon straps.  As it supports 50 watch faces, you can customise what you want to see on the home screen but it is only possible with the two built-in watch faces. The smartwatch features app notifications, music and camera control, alarm, Pomodoro clock, world clock, weather forecast and incoming calls.

It is certified with 5ATM, which means it can survive until 50 meters of water. The company claims to offer nine days of battery endurance in a single charge with 230mAH battery.

Amazfit Bip U can be paired with Huami’s Zepp app on the phone and is compatible with Android v5.0 and iOS 10.0. It will come in three colours: black, green and pink.
