New flashpoint: Latest postpaid plans of Jio, Vodafone and Airtel

Did you know that Reliance Jio added almost 45 lakh customers to their network in June strengthening its hold on the telecom sector even further while Vodafone Idea and Airtel both lost customers – 48.2 lakh and 11.3 lakh respectively?

With Jio becoming the go-to choice of more and more Indians with every passing day, telecom giants Airtel, Vodafone, and others are having to come up with exciting tariff plans to keep their customer base happy and even hope to get back some of the lost customer base.

The three telecom giants have gotten aggressive in both their prepaid and postpaid plans with the competition as intense as ever. All three of them have introduced new plans and numerous benefits to suit the needs of the subscribers.

The race for customers heats up after Jio joins the postpaid tariff scene

Jio has always been renowned for its exceptional prepaid plans, but now, it seems to be dipping its toes in the pool of postpaid plans as well. Recently, Jio unveiled its exciting postpaid plans as it looks to counter its telecom rivals (Airtel and Vodafone Idea), who have been active in the postpaid plans market for years. Jio has now started offering up to 500GB of data, subscriptions to top OTT apps like Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, Display+ Hotstar, and more. Reportedly, postpaid customers account for less than 1% of Jio’s customer base and they’re looking to improve upon it drastically.
