Apple Set To Replace iPad Air and Apple Watch Series 5 Today

Apple is expected to make a major announcement today to launch the new Apple Watch Series 6 and the iPad. The company is also rumored to announce the iPhone 12 launch date.

Apple is rumored to announce the launch of  two new Apple devices. According to two separate leaks by credible tipsters Jon Prosser and @LeaksApplePro, the Cupertino based technology giant is all set to launch the new iPad Air 4 and Apple Watch 6. Nothing is official as of now but according to well-known Apple tipster Jon Prosser, the announcement is going to be made on September 8 at 9 AM EST (6:30 PM IST) through a press release launch.

Prosser doubled down on his claims stating  “My sources are not budging or changing their mind. They’re still telling me that Apple Watch and iPad Air are coming tomorrow via press release”. Prosser also pointed out that  many Apple Watch Series 5 models are listed as currently unavailable in Apple’s online store. Many fans supported his claim when they could’t order from the Apple website.

This evidently indicates that Apple has been depleting its stock of the current models in advance of an imminent update. Cases for the iPad Air 4 were also reportedly available for sale hinting at the launch of a new iPad later today.

What’s New With Apple Watch Series 6

The Apple Watch Series 6 is expected to continue with the same design as last year’s Apple Watch Series 5 which made its debut around the same time last year. The biggest feature upgrade is in terms of sensors where new support for blood-oxygen tracking is integrated. The new Apple watch series will feature Apple’s upgraded watchOS 7. Rumors also indicate a cheaper watch dubbed Apple watch SE making its appearance along with the Watch 6 that will offer solid performance at a more affordable price point.

What’s New With iPad Air 4

The new iPad Air 4 is set to debut a long overdue design more in line with the premium iPad Pro line. With much thinner bezels and a squared off chassis, it is expected to offer an IPS LCD panel at around 10.8- to 11-inches. Apple’s A13 bionic SoC is being touted as the possible chipset. Ram is also expected to be capped at 4GB leaving performance for the more capable iPad Pro line.

What About iPhone 12 Launch

Despite the claims, many experts don’t agree with the leaks and claim the website listing can actually be due to supply shortage. The Apple has struggled to maintain it’s supply chain for a number of products over the past few months owing to the global health crisis that has majorly impacted production and consumer demand.

If Prosser’s claims are to be believed, we may be set to see the iPhone 12 in just over a month’s time. According to his timeline, Apple will launch the much awaited flagship iPhone 12 in a virtual event on 12 October.

Apple earlier announced that the new iPhone will launch “a few weeks later” than usual. Apple continues to struggle with supply chain management and  its still not sure how Apple will roll out the new products slated for launch this year.
