Xbox Series X Launch Set To Launch In November: True Competition To PS5

Xbox Series X confirmed to be launched in November this year. Here are the confirmed specifications and more.

BIG News! Microsoft has confirmed the launch of its most anticipated gaming console — the Xbox Series X in November this year. Gaming enthusiasts this is big news for you all and if you’re planning to buy one for yourselves. Microsoft and Xbox have confirmed that the next-generation console is going to be available for sale in the next three months. According to the company announcement, the Xbox Series X will be up for grabs via online and offline stores.

Just to recall, Microsoft recently committed that it will make the console available in India along with the global launch. The company has not confirmed any specific date or pricing of the upcoming console. Let’s see at what price point Xbox Series X is going to be available for grabs in India.

The confirmation of the Xbox Series X November launch came after the announcement of the delay in the launch of Halo Infinite until 2021. Microsoft stated that the next-generation console will bring “thousands of games to play, spanning four generations”.

Xbox Series X will be a direct competition to Sony’s PlayStation 5 which is also expected to be launched somewhere in November. It seems, both the companies are aiming for the upcoming Holiday 2020 season of the western countries to increase the sale of their latest offerings. The PlayStation 5 is going to launch with backward compatibility which will allow users to run PS4 games. The Xbox Series X will be capable of running titles from Xbox One, Xbox 360, and the original Xbox as well. On top of that, all these titles will support 4K and HDR resolution.

The backward compatibility will not be the major achievement on the upcoming Xbox console. The company is said to bring a subscription-based service –the Xbox Game Pass, it will arrive with exclusive and hundreds of Xbox Series X games from other studios as well. In layman’s word, the games which are going to be available on PS5 will also be available for Xbox Game Pass members.

“We know you expect the next generation of consoles to set new standards in graphical power and processing speed, converging together in games that look incredible and feel alive. This will be defined by worlds that are visually astounding and immediately immersive, with innovative leaps in CPU, GPU, and storage technology to give you frictionless access to new stories and new creators constantly,” reads the official blog post.

According to recent leaks and reports, Microsoft is gearing up to launch an affordable Xbox this time, which means Xbox Series X won’t be the only choice for consumers. According to the reports, Microsoft is planning to launch the Xbox Series S, which will not support 4K resolution gaming and that will be the only difference compared to the premium model.

Xbox Series X Confirmed Specifications

Microsoft’s Xbox Series X is claimed to be the most powerful console ever. The blog post confirms that the gaming console will be powered by a custom-designed AMD’s latest Zen 2 and RDNA 2 processor, this is going to be four times faster than the one equipped on the Xbox One. The Xbox Series X is clubbed with 12 TFLOPS of GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) and “performance – twice that of an Xbox One X and more than eight times the original Xbox One.”

The company has also made some major improvement in the next-gen SSD. “With our next-generation SSD, nearly every aspect of playing games is improved. Game worlds are larger, more dynamic and load in a flash and fast travel is just that – fast.”

The Xbox Series X is confirmed to bring a quick resume feature that will allow players to switch between multiple games without any buffer time and return instantly to the game where they left, without waiting on long loading screens. The next-gen gaming console will also support 120fps frame rates which will help you while playing heightened realism or fast-paced action games.

Microsoft is yet to disclose the pricing and availability of the upcoming Xbox Series X. It is going to be very interesting for us to witness the launch and experience the high-end gaming console in the upcoming weeks.
