Redmi finally launched its most awaited smartphone – the Redmi K30 Ultra in its home country. The smartphone joins the Redmi K30 family which already includes the Redmi K30, Redmi K30 Pro, and the Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition. The USP of the newly launched phone is the impressive 120 Hz AMOLED display, MediaTek processor, 64 MP quad-camera setup, and a lot more. Here are the details:

 

Redmi K30 Ultra Specifications

 

The Redmi K30 Ultra flaunts a 6.67-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400×1080pixels. The company claims that the AMOLED display sports a refresh rate of 120 Hz with 240Hz touch sampling rate for ultra smooth performance which is hard to see in flagship phones. The device is capable of switching automatically between 60Hz/120Hz frame rates for optimizing battery consumption.

 

Design-wise the Redmi K30 Ultra looks premium with glass finish rear-panel with a quad-circular shaped camera. On the left side, it houses volume rockers with the power button. On left, it sports a SIM tray slot and USB Type-C port, speaker grill, and microphones at the bottom of the smartphone.

Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the 7nm MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC clubbed ARM Cortex-A77 and Mali-G77 cores. It has been given an AnTuTu score of over 530,000. The smartphone is backed by 8GB of RAM and 512GB of onboard storage.

 

As far as cameras are concerned, the Redmi K30 Ultra packs a quad-camera setup with a combination of 64-megapixel primary camera sensor with an aperture of f/1.7, it is accompanied by a 5-megapixel macro lens with a focal length of 50 mm, a 13-megapixel wide-angle lens with 119-degree field of view, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor for a portrait along with an LED flash.

 

“Redmi K30 Ultra comes with photography functions based on its AI capabilities, such as AI Skyscaping and Photo Clones. Photo Clones allows users to take fun surreal photos at any time with no post-editing required. The AI Skyscaping feature captures a section of the sky in the photo and allows users to switch and edit it with one tap to create high-quality beautiful images regardless of weather conditions and location,” reads the official blog post.

For selfie enthusiasts, the smartphone houses a 20-megapixel pop-up front camera sensor. On the connectivity front, the Redmi K30 Ultra offers dual-mode 5G (NSA+SA), Wi-Fi 6, USB Type-C port, and NFC. The dimensions of the phone are listed to be at 163.3×75.4×9.1mm, and the smartphone weighs around 213 grams.

 

The Redmi K30 Ultra offers a distance sensor, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, electronic compass, infrared remote control, and hall sensor. The company claims that the newly launched smartphone arrives with dual stereo with a triple microphone setup which is equipped for the Audio Zooming feature to capture clear audio from a distance.

 

The smartphone is fuelled by a 4,500mAh non-removable battery with  33W fast charging, which is capable of charging the smartphone from low to full within one hour. Besides, the Redmi K30 Ultra is equipped with an IR blaster, that can turn the device into a remote control for traditional household appliances, and an in-display fingerprint sensor for extra security.

Redmi K30 Ultra Price And Availability

 

The Redmi K30 Ultra launched with a starting price of CNY 1,999 (approx Rs. 21,500) for the 6GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage. The 8GB RAM +128GB ROM will cost you CNY 2,199 (approx Rs. 23,600), the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is priced at CNY 2,499 (around Rs. 26,800) and the top-end model with 8GB RAM and 512GB storage will cost CNY 2,699 (Rs. 29,000 approx). 

 

The Redmi K30 Ultra will be available in Moonlight White, Midnight Black, and Mint Green color option. The smartphone will be up for grabs from August 14, 2020, via all official Xiaomi stores and e-commerce platforms.
