Xiaomi, one of the emerging players in the smart home space, hosted their first-ever virtual Global Ecosystem Product launch. The company unveiled an array of innovative products from the smart home space.


The Mi TV stick is the standout announcement. The device is powered by a quad-core CPU that is coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage capacity. It offers Dolby Audio and DTS sound support, full-HD resolution videos at 60fps, and built-in Google Assistant and Chromecast. Mi TV Stick is equipped with a Bluetooth remote control with dedicated buttons for Google Assistant, Amazon Prime Video, and Netflix. Mi TV Stick costs EUR 39.99 (around Rs.3,400).


Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 Basic, another big disclosure from the event, supports dual-mic environmental noise cancellation technology with Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. The company guarantees up to 5 hours of playback on a single charge and an additional 15 hours with the charging case. There are sensors for in-ear detection that automatically pause audio when drawn out. It is priced at Rs.3,435. 


Mi Smart Band 5, earlier launched in the Chinese market as Mi Band 5, the latest Xiaomi Mi Band comes with a larger 1.1-inch AMOLED display, remote-control camera, heart rate sensor, and 11 other tracking modes. It has a built-in microphone to enable voice commands. Xiaomi claims that the NFC variant will deliver 14 days of battery life. The standard version is supposed to offer up to 20 days on a single charge. It allows female users to track their menstrual cycle. The value in European markets is €39.99, which is roughly Rs.3,429.


The 34-inch Mi Curved Gaming Monitor comes with a WQHD display, a 21:9 ultra-wide, 1500R curvature, 3440 x 1440 resolution, with 144Hz refresh rate, 4ms response rate. It offers a 121% RGB wide colour gamut and features up to 300 nits of adjustable brightness. The new Xiaomi monitor also features AMD FreeSync technology for smooth graphics rendering and stutter-free gaming experience. It has been announced at EUR 399 (around 34,260 Rs.).


Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2 can cover 45km with 20 percent incline slopes at a maximum speed of 25kmph. It possesses a 12,800mAh battery that runs for a week on a single charge. It is armed with a 300W powerful motor, 8.5-inch pneumatic tires, a dual braking system, and a 2W headlight that illuminates up to 10 meters ahead. It features a built-in LCD offering a wide range of controls and costs EUR 499 (around Rs.42,850).


The company also announced the launch of the Redmi 9 series, namely the Redmi 9, Redmi 9C, and Redmi 9A.
