Flipkart Quick Hyperlocal Service Promise To Deliver Orders Within 90 Minutes

Flipkart announces new Quick Hyperlocal Service in Bengaluru which is capable of delivering orders within 90-minutes.

It seems e-commerce websites are getting back in action amid the COVID-19 Pandemic. Flipkart has announced a new hyperlocal delivery which the company is promoting as Flipkart Quick. Under this service, the company is aiming to deliver products within 90-minutes of order. Yes! You read it correct the ordered item will be delivered to your doorstep within 90- minutes which is very quick. It seems that Dunzo is going to witness a healthy competition with Flipkart’s new service. The e-commerce company has prepared a catalogue with more than 2,000 products under this service.

The company is digitalizing the local kiranas by bringing them to the e-commerce market. This will help the local kiranas to sell their products safely with minimal human interaction. Flipkart Quick will offer the following categories of product in the first phase:

  • Grocery
  • Fresh
  • Dairy
  • Mobile
  • Electronics
  • Home Accessories
  • Stationery Items

According to the company, consumers will have two windows for product delivery one within 90-minutes and a 2-hour window depending on their requirements. Buyers are eligible to take advantage of the Flipkart Quick service between 6 am to 12 am-midnight. Also do note that the service starts with a minimum delivery fee of Rs 29.

The company official newsrooms suggest that the Flipkart Quick will debut in Bengaluru in select locations, including Whitefield, Panathur, HSR Layout, BTM Layout, Banashankari, KR Puram, and Indiranagar.

“Hyperlocal capabilities can be described simply as building connections between locally available products and consumers in a particular area. This is a great model for India as households of all sizes are already used to their neighbourhood Kirana stores. In fact, Indian families are so comfortable with what we call the ‘hyperlocal context’, that there is a tendency to develop deep, familial ties with vendors, shopkeepers and service providers” said Sandeep Karwa, Vice President, Flipkart.

So Bangaloreans are the first one to try this new Flipkart Quick service, let’s see when Flipkart is planning to expand this service to other cities as well.
