Asus ROG Phone 3 With Snapdragon 865+ Set To Launch On July 22

The company is teasing the smartphone as the world’s first smartphone with the Snapdragon 865 Plus processor. According to a couple of leaks and renders we get to understand that the highlights of the smartphone are triple-rear camera setup, dual Type-C ports, ultrasonic pressure-sensitive sensors placed on the edges of the phone, and a lot more. 

Due to the pandemic, Asus has decided to conduct the launch event via live streaming and there will be no physical events to avoid the virus. We are a day ahead of the official launch and there is a huge buzz on the internet already. Here’s how you can watch the entire live stream. 

How To Watch Asus ROG Phone 3 Launch Live Stream 

According to the company’s Flipkart landing page, the launch live stream will kick off at 8:15 PM IST. Asus will stream the entire launch event on its official YouTube channel and also live update the event on its entire social media handles including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Asus ROG Phone 3 is going to be exclusive on Flipkart, so far the company has not disclosed any information about the pricing or the availability of the gaming smartphone in India.

Asus ROG Phone 3 Expected Specifications

As per the popular tipster Ishan Agarwal, the upcoming gaming smartphone from Asus will feature the power button, volume rocker, and the trigger buttons on the right side of the device. Whereas the rear panel of the phone will feature the ROG (Republic of Gaming) branding along with a backlit logo, thermal management vents and a triple rear camera setup. 

The smartphone is also said to feature the SIM tray on the left side of the phone along with a proprietary port for charging and connecting gaming accessories with the phone. 

Recently, the Asus ROG Phone 3 was spotted on TENAA listing with model number ‘ASUS_I003DD’ highlighting some of the major specifications of the upcoming gaming smartphone. The listing suggests that the ROG Phone 3 will arrive with a 6.9-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. Being a gaming smartphone it has to feature a high frame rate display panel for better gaming performance. TENAA listing also suggests that the phone will be launch in 8GB, 12GB, and 16GB along with 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage variants. 

It’s said to draw power from a 6,000 mAh non-removal battery along with fast charging support. As far as cameras are concerned, the ROG Phone 3 is speculated to sport a triple- rear camera setup which includes a 64MP primary camera + 13MP secondary sensor. However, there is no information on the third camera sensor or the selfie camera. 

The gaming smartphone will arrive with 5G connectivity support and on the security part, it will arrive with an in-display fingerprint scanner and face recognition technology. 

Asus has not disclosed any information about the accessories, but we can safely expect some gigantic accessories coming up with the phone considering last year’s launch.
